After-school STAAR tutoring has started this week at PMHS in preparation for the upcoming English I and II (4/8/25 - 9th & 10th Grade), Biology (4/16/25 - 9th Grade), US History (4/16/25 - 11th Grade), and Algebra I (4/23/25 - 9th Grade) STAAR Exams. Please see the schedule for the times and locations of the tutoring sessions. All students who are taking one of these exams are invited and encouraged to attend. We will provide snacks and bus service is provided if you need a ride home after the session. Please reach out to your teachers if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!

Here are five facts about Women's History Month: • It started as a local celebration: In 1978, a week-long celebration was held in Santa Rosa, California. • It was originally Women's History Week: 1980, President Jimmy Carter proclaimed the week of March 8 National Women's History Week. • It became a month-long celebration in 1987: Congress passed legislation to designate March as Women's History Month. • It's celebrated in March to coincide with International Women's Day: March 8th is a global celebration of women's achievements. • It has a theme each year: The theme emphasizes diverse contributions. For example, the 2025 theme is “#Accelerate Action”.
