MAVECHS
Dear Parent/s or Guardians of an Early College Scholar,
We consider our team family, and we invite you to partner with us as we work together toward your child’s success. It takes every member to do his/her part to achieve truly great things. Your child’s success, both academically and emotionally, is our purpose and the reason we do what we do. Please join us on the journey and let us know how we can help you help your scholar.
Your MAVECHS Team
Early College High School, called "MAVECHS" at Pasadena Memorial for Maverick Early College High School, is a four-year program that provides students with the opportunity to earn an Associate’s degree or 60 college hours along with their high school diploma.
The goal is for students to complete two years of college in high school, so they can transfer to a university and complete their Bachelor’s degree in just two additional years.
MAVECHS is a small learning community that fosters strong, positive relationships among staff and students – 125 to 140 students per grade level.
- As Freshmen and Sophomores, students will take all classes at their zoned comprehensive high school campus.
- As Juniors and Seniors, students will take all classes at San Jacinto College.
